Patient Guidelines on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Eye Center is following CDC guidelines in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is taking precautions to prevent it’s spread. Our goal remains, as always, to provide you the best possible treatment for your eyecare needs. However, the safety of our employees and patients is our utmost concern.
In our office we are taking the following precautions:
- Calling and triaging all patients to determine the need for appointment, thus limiting the schedule to maintain much less volume in the office. Until further notice we will personally be calling all future appointments, not using the automated reminder system.
- Requiring patients experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath, or those who have recently traveled, to reschedule their appointments
- Limiting the number of patients in our waiting room. We are asking companions to wait in their cars during the patient’s visit.
- All of our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves.
- We are taking patients directly to the exam rooms as quickly as possible.
- We are sterilizing each exam room thoroughly between each patient
- We have removed the magazines from the waiting room
